Recently, we customized a column-type depalletizing & debagging machine with a 3D vision camera for a client. The client needed to unpack plastic pellet bags for production line. Due to the soft material of the packaging bags, the stack tends to deform easily after removing the outer shrink wrap. In such cases, traditional depalletizing machine may experience grasping deviations. However, the 3D vision camera can accurately identify the precise position and orientation of each bag, making accurate judgments even if the bags are deformed, tilted, or stacked unevenly.
The core logic of 3D vision-guided depalletizing and palletizing involves scanning the cargo with a 3D camera to collect three-dimensional data, processing the data to determine the position and posture of the cargo, and finally sending instructions to the robot to complete precise depalletizing and palletizing. Its advantage lies in flexibility, enabling it to handle goods of different specifications and in various stacking states.
**Single-Item Depalletizing:** Suitable for full-pallet outbound operations in the warehousing and logistics industry.
It can handle packaging materials of different types, including cartons, shrink wrap, strapping bands, etc. A single camera can handle multiple pallets, reducing costs. Compared with manual operations, the return on investment is less than one year.
**Mixed-Item Depalletizing:** Suitable for order-picking outbound operations, airport parcel sorting, etc.
Grippers are customized and manufactured based on the specifications and shapes of the goods. It adaptively identifies common packaging types, including boxes, cartons, buckets, bags, bottles, etc.
**Loading and Unloading:** Suitable for loading, unloading, and assembling complex workpieces.
The gripper structure is customized based on the structural characteristics of complex workpieces to ensure safe and stable grasping. It can handle complex workpieces, structural components, irregular parts, and other objects.
**Palletizing:** Suitable for warehousing inbound operations in industries such as retail, medical, and food.
It can handle common packaging types, including boxes, cartons, buckets, bags, etc. It adapts to different palletizing requirements, supporting single-pallet, multi-pallet, row, and layer palletizing methods.
