Customer Case: Customized Column Rotating Palletizer for 13.2KG Cutting Rock Wool Board, with CE Certification

We customized a column rotating palletizer with dual palletizing stations for a client to achieve high-efficiency dual-station palletizing in their rock wool board production line. The existing product packaging and production line information are as follows:

Product name: Cut rock wool board
Specifications of Product: 13.2 kg per piece
Dimensions of product: 700×500×50 mm
Pallet dimensions: 1300×1100 mm
Stacking method: 2 pieces per layer, 16 layers in total
Total palletizing height: 1100 mm

Based on the above basic information, we recommended and customized the MR-180 column rotating palletizer for the client, equipped with a customized fixture. The machine parameters are as follows:

Parameters
Power supply/Power AC 380V±/5%  three-phase four-wire
Pneumatic Requirements Grippers/Fixtures: 0.6-0.8 MPa, ≥0.3 m³/min

Suction Cups: 0.6-0.8 MPa, 0.6-1.1 m³/min,

Total air reservoir capacity >600 L

Dimensions Overall height 3m, rotation coverage radius 2.5m

footprint 5×3 m²

Cable Length 3m (from robot body to control cabinet)
Power Robot body: 6.5 kW

The machine has passed acceptance and is currently applying for CE certification.

We Spin supply three mainstream palletizing robots: cartesian coordinate robots, column-type palletizer, and articulated robotic arms. For detailed information on the three palletizing machine types, click here: Automated Palletizing Solutions: A Complete Guide to Cartesian, Column-Type, and Articulated Robots

SPIN’s Column Rotating Palletizer: Dual-station, Continuous Operation, No Speed Loss.

Features of SPIN’s Column Rotating Palletizer

  1. Takes up less floor space than a robotic arm, simple to fix, and flexible in layout.

  2. Operates via a straight-arm rotation method, offering large coverage; safety fences and light curtains are required to improve safety.

  3. Dual-station design: no efficiency or speed requirements for personnel handling full stacks or placing empty pallets. Simply remove the full stack and replace with an empty pallet on the other side before the stack is completed.

  4. Continuous operation, alternating left/right or right/left with no actual loss of speed. After manually placing empty pallets and pre‑ordering a new stack position, the safety factor is extremely high.

  5. Slightly higher initial investment, but significant potential for future output increase (for 25 kg bagged products with air, max speed 450 cycles/hour; for 25 kg bagged products without air, max speed 500 cycles/hour).

Typical Applications:

  • Suitable for medium-to-low-speed palletizing production lines with a fan-shaped working area, compact space, and high cycle time requirements. Examples include palletizing bottled water, boxed beverages, food boxes, etc.
